Treks with a purpose . . .
Edged on three sides by the Medicine Bow Mountains to the east, the Never Summer Mountains and Rabbit Ears Range to the south, and the steep precipices of the Park Range (sometimes referred to as the Zirkels) to the west, North Park spreads northward into Wyoming. With a total population estimated a little over 1300, Jackson County/North Park offers visitors special escapes and room to roam. Remote – yes, but easily accessible, North Park is approximately 130 miles northwest of Denver, 60 miles northeast of Steamboat Springs, and just 60 or so miles southwest of Laramie, Wyoming.
